My heart is heavy today. Peter Ostroushko, gentle soul, extraordinary musician, passed away this morning. It was an immense privilege to know him, to work with him, to make music with him. His “Heart of the Heartland” is forever the melody that will hold his memory in my heart.
Peter Ostroushko was a talented consummate and humble family man, renowned for his soft mandolin music that captured the beauty of the world. His memory and music will resonate forever with those who had the opportunity to know him. He made the world a better place and he will be greatly missed. My condolences to his family and friends in this difficult time.

The first time I’ve heard “Heart of the Heartland” I loved it instantly. Mr. Ostroushko could make us hear the soul of is mandoline. He’s gone too soon. His musics will make us think about this great artist. I take the occasion to offer my deepest sympathies to all his family and to everyone who knew him. Thank you mr. Ostroushho for what you brought to this world and to the music.
R.I.P. Peter Ostroushko.
